The laboratory is particularly interested in understanding mechanistically the roads leading to chromosomal instability and aneuploidy in human cells and deciphering the consequences for cancer initiation, progression and tumor cells therapeutic responses. She then joined the Pathology Department at The Icahn School of Medicine to lead her own research laboratory focused in studying the intricate mechanisms leading to genome instability and therapy resistance in tumor cells. Cancer Cell 2012, Cancer Cell 2015 ) we aim to continue interrogating and deciphering the pathways that fuel tumor cell growth and survival under therapy.
